Lip Augmentation

"I want plumper lips."

You can have beautiful full lips.  There are many options when it comes to lip augmentation.  Injectables and fat grafting can make your lips look and feel fuller.  Insertion of a soft silicone tube can be a more permanent solution for plumper lips.

With hyaluronic acid injectables like Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane we can add volume and fullness to limp lips.  Hyaluronic acid is moldable, making it one of the most popular lip augmentation procedures.  Your own fat can be used to augment thin lips.  Fat is first removed with a small needle or cannula (liposuction) from a fatty area like the buttocks.  The fat is then transferred to the lips and reinjected using a local anesthesia or sedation technique.  Fat injections last longer than hyaluronic acid injections, the lips are in constant motion, so fat that's been injected is partially reabsorbed by the body.  Since fat is your tissue and cannot be rejected, nor can you be allergic to it.

Facial Implant by SurgiSil (Perma facial implant)

This implant can be placed into the upper and lower lips for a more permanent lip enhancement. This is a patented, FDA approved device that has undergone extensive clinical testing to ensure its safety and efficacy. Perma Facial implant is made of a soft, solid silicone elastomer using an injection molding process to produce a naturally contoured implant with a smooth, non-porous surface that cannot rupture or deflate. Although permanent, Perma Facial Implant may be easily removed at any time.

The procedure can be performed in a simple office setting under local anesthesia. The entire process can take less than thirty minutes and normal activity may be resumed the following day. Perma Facial Implants are available in a variety of sizes to achieve customized results. View typical before and after photos below.

Lip Advancement Procedure

We perform a procedure where the upper lip is advanced or raised upward toward the nose.  This procedure will require local and sedation or a general anesthesia to perform. An incision is made directly under the nostrils and the skin of the upper lip is lifted or advanced.  See the pictures we have posted below.  If you are interested in this or any procedure we perform, please let us know.
